Membership Information

CAMO is a chapter of the National American Motors Owners Association (AMO).  Although based in Connecticut, our club has members from New England, New York, and New Jersey that are interested in the preservation of vehicles produced by the American Motors Company (AMC).

Participating in club activities is a great way to meet others with the same interests, network for information, parts, and enjoy activities together with a common goal of having fun.  The club has regular meetings, publishes a newsletter The American Spirit, and holds several events each year: Club membership is encouraged but you do not need to be a club member to participate in these events.

  • A Spring Dust Off Mystery Run in late April. Held in different areas of New England. Each time we follow “clues” through a course exploring the local area and ending at a restaurant for lunch and to compare stories.
  • Our Regional AMC show in August where we invite all owners, vendors and enthusiasts of AMC, Jeep, Hudson, Nash, and Rambler cars to attend.
  • A Fall Run in September or October. Each year we pick an area to explore. We have cruised the White Mountains and lakes of New Hampshire, the Maine seacoast, Cape Cod, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Eastern New York.
Our club hosted the 2000 AMO National Show and the 2012 AMO National Show.  As a club we also attend many cruise nights and car shows from local shows to AMC Regional and National shows.

Annual dues are $20.00 per person. Membership is defined as including members in good standing and their spouse.  To apply for membership or to renew your membership use the Application/Renewal Form accompanied by the required dues.

Membership renewal and Dues are payable by September 1st of each year.
